Four tips to feel less stressed

Practice deep breathing:

Deep breathing is one of the most common techniques used when stressed; the reason for this is because taking deep breaths while lying on your back helps calm your nerves which then help decrease stress. Also, meditation is another popular technique used to calm nerves, which is another way to relieve stress.

Exercise/ go out for a run:

Running can be very effective as it takes your mind off whatever is stressing you, plus breathing in fresh air can always do you good. Also, with recent studies going out for a run increases blood circulation to the brain and the part of your brain which is stressed improves your mood. Exercising in general is key as it is healthy for both your mind and body.

Listen to music:

Listening to music is another great way to help reduce stress; the reason for this is because it plays with our emotions. Its an effective relaxation and stress management depending on the type of music you are listening to. Also, recent studies show that music helps with concentration levels as it makes you more alert.

Connect with others:

Sometimes when feeling a bit down or stressed, having a friend to talk to can be the solution to reducing your stress levels as you are able to open up to your friend and express yoursself, and having someone there listening to you while you talk is comforting.
